Wings Over Pittsburgh is expanding to East Liberty with new chicken joint

The Wings Over Pittsburgh fried chicken joint that has been slinging chicken fingers on the South Side since 2013 is expanding and adding another location in East Liberty.

Wings Over Pittsburgh – East Liberty will take up a spot on Baum Boulevard and is opening on May 16. The restaurant offers a menu of wings and chicken tenders, as well as ribs, sandwiches, wraps and combo packs for dine-in and take-out customers. The first Pittsburgh location is on East Carson Street in South Side.

“Many of our loyal guests live in East Liberty and the surrounding neighborhoods, so this was a natural next location for us,” said Chief Wing Officer Dan Leyva in a press release. “We are delighted to have the opportunity to serve the best wings & tenders throughout most of the Pittsburgh community now!”

The new location is part of the Wings Over chain, which is based out of Las Vegas and has locations in North Carolina, the upper Midwest, and across the Northeastern U.S.

Wings Over offers nearly two dozen different sauces and dry rubs for its wings and tenders, including inventive flators like citrus chipotle bbq, cajun teriyaki, west texas mesquite, and four different heat levels for its buffalo sauce.

The grand opening for Wings Over Pittsburgh – East Liberty includes a proportion where all customers on Monday will receive 6 Free Wings or a Free 6 Tender Meal. Guests can choose to redeem a free 6 Tender Meal or 6 Free Wings with promo code EAST6 at order.wingsover.com Offer is only valid at the East Liberty location, and only on first online or app order.

The new spot at 5923 Baum Blvd. will be open seven days a week. Its hours will be 11 a.m.-midnight Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m.-2 a.m. Friday and Saturday.
