90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way has been one of the 90 Day Fiancé franchise’s most successful shows, with a long list of successful couples who are still together after filming. The TLC show focuses on couples where the American partner marries their partner abroad and moves to their country. There are many TOW couples who have not worked out, but it’s there are names amongst the ones that did that still surprise viewers.
Fans love watching 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way to see American cast members adjusting to a new life in a whole another country. Here, they also deal with their partner’s opposing family and culture. Fans meanwhile get to travel the whole while sitting comfortably in front of their TVs as they watch the drama unfold every Sunday night. The refreshing storylines of The Other Way are much more preferred over the recycled ones that the OG 90 Day Fiancé show offers.
So far, there have been three seasons of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way. Each season has six couples in total. But season 2 onwards, a few couples have been returning ones. These fan favorites can often be found on other spin-offs considering their demand amongst TLC viewers. For instance, Ariela Weinberg and Biniyam Shibre are now a part of 90 Day Fiancé season 9.
Jenny Slatten & Sumit Singh
Jenny from Palm Springs, California, flew to Noida, India, during 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 1 to marry Sumit. Little did Jenny know that Sumit, who she was talking to for nearly a decade was already secretly married. Sumit eventually divorced his wife and faced resistance from his family to live with Jenny, who’s 30 years older than him. In TOW season 2, Jenny suffered from visa woes and pushed Sumit to make their relationship official. And amid Jenny having to deal with Sumit’s mom’s backhanded comments, the finale showed them getting married in a lovely Arya Samaj ceremony. Jenny and Sumit are still together and staying in India as fans wait for them to star in a new spin-off.
Tiffany Franco & Ronald Smith
One of the most infamous on-off-relationships of 90 Day Fiancé is the one that Tiffany from Maryland, and her South African husband Ronald are in. Ronald and single mom to son Daniel Tiffany met in 2017 while the Maryland resident was on vacation in his home country. They got engaged became pregnant and married each other on TOW season 1. Tiffany and Ronald briefly split three times before August 2021 when Ronald claimed he’d filed for divorce. With Ronald’s gambling past also becoming a hindrance in him getting a visa, in November 2021, he went Instagram official with girlfriend Laure Fraser. However, Tiffany and Ronald admitted they were completely back on in April this year.
Corey Rathgeber & Evelin Villegas
Corey and Evelin’s breakups are legendary in 90 Day Fiancé history. So much so that both have cheated on each other during the relationship and have gotten back together eventually. During 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 3, fans learned that Corey and Evelin got secretly married in 2019 to make sure he could continue staying in the country. However, another wedding followed in the newer season despite Evelin making a big deal out of it because of Corey’s ex Jenny. For now, the good news is Corey and Evelin are still together and are even running a thriving restaurant and bar business on the Engabao beach.
Kenneth Niedermeier & Armando Rubio
The franchise’s first gay male couple, Kenny and Armando instantly won hearts during the 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 2 debut. Kenny and Armando made many sacrifices for their love in their first season. Kenny left his home and grown children back to move to Mexico while Armando came out to his family to start a new life with Kenny, and his daughter Hannah from his previous marriage. In season 3, Kenny and Armando argued about having a baby in the future and went through a great deal of trouble while trying to convince Armando’s father to give his blessings for their marriage. On the other hand, Kenny’s children spoke about how much they missed their father. But in the end, everyone celebrated Kenny and Armando’s special wedding day which it took place in May 2021. The couple is still together and thriving in Mexico while entertaining fans on Pillow Talk.
Ariela Weinberg & Biniyam Shibre
Ariela and Biniyam’s 90 Day Fiancé journey after TOW is continuing on the OG series’ season 9. After having debuted in TOW season 2, Ariela and Biniyam went through plenty of highs and lows courtesy of their religious and trust issues. They welcomed a baby boy Aviel and soon got engaged in Ethiopia. In TOW season 3, Ariela moved back to America, and now, Biniyam joined her there too. As Ariela continues to deal with cold vibes from Biniyam’s sisters and financial problems due to the parents refusing to fund her lifestyle, she will still get married to Biniyam in the season. The couple is currently in America, with Ariela having started a tour business in Ethiopia and Biniyam working hard to launch his career as an MMA fighter, performer, and physical trainer in the U.S.
Tim Clarkson & Melyza Zeta
Tim and Melyza were branded as the most boring couple on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way upon their season 2 debut. Tim had cheated on Melyza with a co-worker and wanted to win her over by moving to Colombia with her. However, Tim came back to America after he didn’t find a job and it was later revealed that he’d cheated on Melyza with not one but three women from his office. Tim went back to Colombia a second time, proposed to Melyza who shockingly said yes, and brought her back with him to the States. It’s very likely that they are married now and staying together in Texas.
Steven Johnston & Alina Shaimardanova
If there’s one couple from 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way that fans never wanted to stay together was Alina and Steven. Mormon man Steven came clean about his past sexual encounters and how he’d fallen short of his standards of the LDS church after he moved to Turkey to marry Russian partner Alina. Regardless, Alina accepted Steven then as they tied the knot with their feline guests in attendance and also forgave him when he confessed he was sending lewd photos of himself to nine women on DM post their marriage. Steven and Alina are still together and in Turkey. Steven and Alina even celebrated their first anniversary together in Dubai in December 2021 and were last seen posting about Valentine’s Day on Instagram.
Ellie Rose & Victor McLean
Ellie had been cheated on by Victor during their long-distance romance and she still braved a hurricane to go stay with him in Providencia on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way. The couple resolved their differences with Victor proposing to Ellie by using a seashell. In the Tell-All, Victor was in the U.S. on a K-1 visa, and in 90 Day Diaries, fans were told that Victor and Ellie got married. Victor and Ellie are planning on returning to Providencia, but they’ll have to wait for a while for him to get his green card.
